چکیده
Ad-hoc On-demand Distance Vector (AODV) provides scalable and effective solution for packet routing in mobile wireless ad hoc networks, however, the path generated by this protocol may derivate far from optimal because of inconsideration of node power ,load unbalance and link state, resulting in energy consumption of each nods is imbalanced and reduce the lifetime of whole networks. Based on the basic AODV protocols, an improved protocol is presented in this paper. When the protocol is selecting a route, node power, load status and link state between nodes are all considered. The proposed protocol can improve the network performance. Through the simulation on NS2, it is confirmed that the improved AODV protocol has higher package delivery ratio, lower end to end delay and lower routing overhead than basic AODV protocol. Dynamic fuzzy logic and reinforcement learning for adaptive energy efficient routing in mobile ad-hoc networks
In this paper, a dynamic fuzzy energy state based AODV (DFES-AODV) routing protocol for Mobile Adhoc NETworks (MANETs) is presented. In DFES-AODV route discovery phase, each node uses a Mamdani fuzzy logic system (FLS) to decide its Route REQuests (RREQs) forwarding probability. The FLS inputs are residual battery level and energy drain rate of mobile node. Unlike previous related-works, member...
متن کاملImproving AODV Performance using Dynamic Density Driven Route Request Forwarding
Ad-hoc routing protocols use a number of algorithms for route discovery. Some use flooding in which a route request packet (RREQ) is broadcasted from a source node to other nodes in the network. This often leads to unnecessary retransmissions, causing congestion and packet collisions in the network, a phenomenon called a broadcast storm. This paper presents a RREQ message forwarding scheme for ...
متن کاملEnergy Efficient Node Caching and Load Balancing Enhancement of Reactive Ad Hoc Routing Protocols
Enhancing route request broadcasting protocols constitutes a substantial part of recent research in mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) routing. We suggest a novel approach to modify route request broadcast based on node caching. The intuition behind node caching is that the nodes involved in recent data packet forwarding have more reliable information about its neighbors and have better locations (e...
متن کاملAn Energy and Traffic Aware Routing Approach as an Extension of AODV
The importance of Ad-hoc network is due to its nature of infrastructure-less and decentralization. In Ad-hoc network some nodes can become a critical spot in the network as they forward the packets to most of their neighbors. These critical nodes can deplete their battery power earlier, because of excessive load and processing for data forwarding. These unbalanced loads turn to nodes failure, n...
متن کاملAverage Link Stability with Energy-Aware Routing Protocol for MANETs
This paper suggests the A-LSEA (Average Link Stability and Energy Aware) routing protocol for Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs). The main idea behind this algorithm is on the one hand, a node must have enough Residual Energy (RE) before retransmitting the Route Request (RREQ) and declaring itself as a participating node in the end-to-end path. On the other hand, the Link Life Time (LLT) between t...
